Zen Zoomie’s Place is about a step-by-step approach to building a successful blog from the ground-up. But it’s tough to look back and see what worked and what didn’t without some good quantifiable metrics. Starting today (Saturday, 14 Jul), I’ll do a report each week on a few key metrics. When I have gathered a few weeks of data, I’ll begin plotting the trends, and note where key events took place.

To put things in perspective, Zen Zoomie’s Place has been up and running now for about 3 weeks. Overall, things are progressing nicely, and I’m pretty happy with where we’re at. I’ve finally gotten the site to the point where I can now concentrate on generating content rather than constantly tweaking the Blog’s functionality and look.

I love the idea of this site - especially the fact that you have laid the comparative stats out. Maybe next week you provide a sentence or so of analysis on how you specifically improved each? That would be awesome.
Are you going to Vegas in November for Postiecon? It’s the blogging conference where they announce the winners of the Bloggers Choice Awards. It’s free as well, which is an obvious plus.

@Aaron, thanks for the kind words! We’re just getting rolling here, so hope you’ll keep checking back. Yes, I do plan to provide comments on what’s working and what’s not in the future–the way I see this blog moving forward, that will be one of the main focuses as time goes on.
