Conquering the Search Engines

June 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

Success! It’s a small, but extremely important victory. www.zenzoomie.com is no longer invisible to the major search engines. So what are the steps you should take to get your new website indexed by the major search engines? Well…a couple of things. First, you’ll want to register your webpage with each of the major search engines. Here are the links to get you started for Google, Microsoft and Yahoo’s search engines:

Submit your content to Google

Submit your content to Microsoft Live Search

Submit your content to Yahoo / Overture

Submitting your website will get each of the main search engines to start “crawling” your web content on a periodic basis. There are a lot of factors that determine how frequently your site will be indexed, but they all boil down to how popular the site is. Right now, my site is…well…about as popular as a Microsoft rep at Linux convention. But that will change soon enough!
